How to pick the right network marketing company?

There are thousands plus of network marketing companies that are available to join today.

But chosing the right company takes more than looking up on the internet a website about working from home, filling in the information and bam, you have found yourself a company.

You could do that, but do you really want to risk your future on a guess? Wouldn’t it be better to do the research understand what you are looking for. See what is available, and make a choice based on criteria that you have.

After many years I have seen network marketing companies come and network marketing companies go. Hearing about momentum and long lasting “residual” income. There is some of that available, but making a well informed decision on the front end will help you keep from wasting time, energy, money and have to start all over again. Besides the fact that you are putting your reputation on the line when you recommend something. So to me it has to be something I truly believe in 100% ….But I will get more into that.

Things to look for when choosing a Network Marketing Company

When chosing a network work marketing, mlm or direct sales company that you are going to create a long term business relationship with you. A company you are going to invest time money and your heart into. Being confident in your desicion in vital. Here are the I looked for.

Leadership – Executives who are truly business minded, with a heart for people.

Are the founders of the network marketing company business people or sales people?
Is the infrastructure put in place,one that works, and will continue to work no matter what growth takes place?
What is the reputation of the company now and in the past?How will they keep that up?
What kind of growth is taking place?
Is there a long term plan in place for growth and sustainability?
Are they now publicly traded or plan to be at any point?

Product/Service There are lots of great products and services that are moved through this business marketing model. I look for a product or service that is not just great but life changing.

Does the product stand alone on its own with out a pay plan?
Would you be willing to share this with someone if you got paid nothing?
Does the product change lives?
Can you find this product/service any where else? ( is it just another look alike product/service?
Once a person uses the product or service will they continue to use it even if I am not there to ask them to?

Team Leadership – Picking the right team and person to work with can be as important as what company you choose to work with

Do you enjoy spending time with this person?
Are they honest and ethical?
Do they have the knowledge and experience to help you?
Are they committed to helping you accomplish your goals?
Are they committed to this business and have the time to put into building?
Are they a business builder or a product user?
Is there a system you can use to find out information ?

System/Training ” Your Income will match your person growth” Dani Johnson

Does your network marketing company and team simple system to grow your business?
Do you understand what it takes to be successful?
Is there training you can take place in that has proven results?
Who will be your go to person to help yo u when you have questions? Are they reliable?
Have they done what they are training you to do?
Do they work with Dani Johnson?

Compensation Plan

Is the money you will be making worth the time you will be putting in to make it?
Is it a consumable product, that people need and want?
Is it a one time sale or are you creating a re occurring income?
How many ways are there to make money?
Do you like what they do?

This is just a few ideas to understand, “How to pick the right network marketing company for you?” I will go into more details in each of these areas over the next few weeks.

The problem lies in finding a company that will last and a product is so different that people will continue to buy it. Most companies are in this business to make a serious income in a short period of time and get out. I personally am a lifer I look for a company and business that I can take part of for a minimum of 20 years and truly bless lives.

The "F Word"

What do you think of when, you hear “the f word”?

I had a friend of mine ask me the other day, what I thought his favorite F word is. He had this goofy look on his face. It got me thinking. ( His favorite f word was fun )Why is it that F always gets the bad end of the stick. I mean there are lots of words that mean good things.

Have you ever seen any kids run home with a big smile on their face, excited because they got an F.

I remember to this day the first time I heard someone say “the f word”, the kid was trying to get a reaction from anyone who around them who could hear them. I can tell you he got a reaction.

Here are some words that start with an f, I bet you did not think of when you saw this posting.

Faith
Focus
Friendship
Flower
Fondue
Follow up’
Favorite
Flavor
Forgetfulness

But what is the most important F Word? I am mean out of all the words that start with an f, what makes us stop and pay attention the most?

I believe the most important f word could be FAILURE.

Failure is underrated and over hated.

Most of the time failure is the one thing that does exactly what the f word is supposed to do, stop us in our tracts. It makes us rethink the path we are on and change the way we operate, or it can.

What is it that you learn more from failure than from success?

Do you learn to change the way you think and act? Do you learn to give up? Do you learn to dig in and do more?

Why do we do teach our kids that to fail is to be a failure? Wouldn’t it be better to show them how to turn failure into success?

Success starts with failure.

Yes, you read that right. I have never read a story, watched a movie, or thought of anyone who became a success with out thinking of what they had to go through to get to a successful place in there lives. That is not going to be any different today than it has been in the past.

But there are people who go through failure for no reason.

They let it stop them, they never do anything like that again. They give up.

But I know that is NOT you!

What is the failure that you are having today that will propel you into a more successful tomorrow?

Failure is a part of life, everyone has it. But if its worth it depends on the person and how much they are willing to learn.

What failure taught me

I have been through lots of failure and hopefully I will have more.

I have been on both sides, I made a great income and on the other side I have been homless.

I have a great husband, but I was a single mom.

Failure taught be to have

Faith – In myself, In God, In others and on the path I am on.
Focus – working daily , controlling my thoughts, and doing what I commit too.
Follow Up – keeping on keeping on.

If you bring all of your company’s materials and video to a family reunion or a funeral…you might be a network marketing junkie.

This is my “fun” way to look at the fact that I am a recovering network marketing junkie!

The main problem I have found with network marketing today is not the companies or the pay plans or the products. It is with the hoards of people who don’t take their business seriously.

Network marketing is a simple advertising system.

It allows a company to get their product out the door on a regular basis without wasting money on noneffective traditional marketing. It’s a simple referral network, that refers the product to people who NEED them. In doing so they lower the cost of marketing and give that money to the people who actually WORK, and help others.

Many types of businesses use this marketing plan to build their business.

Some of the products/services are good and some of them are awful. The majority of companies have good products, but there are a select few companies that have exceptional, life changing products. Some of the companies are run well, and then just like every other business model, there are the snake oil salesman who do not care about anyone else and have no ethics. In fact, many companies only have a product to make their compensation plan legal. That is one of the most terrible things that plagues the industry. It is also why I walked away from the industry for many years.

Pick a company carefully

It is important to know you are working with reputable company who has a reputable product that does what it says it does. It’s also important to me to be a part of company that puts principle and purpose above economics and ego. I will go into more detail on this in another blog. In the mean time if you have questions go here.

I can tell you as a recovering network marketing junkie, there are many reasons for becoming one, and there is also a road away from that awful lifestyle to true results and great relationships. Here are my recommendations.

How to create consistent success with your network marketing company of choice.

Stop jumping from one network marketing company to another

Stop it. Just STOP IT! You need to focus first on finding what your passion is. Then what company aligns with your passion and is a company with a solid foundation and a great product or service. I will go into more details on that tomorrow.

Stop throwing up on everyone you see.

In most network marketing companies you probably heard of the 3 foot rule, but that does not give you permission to throw up on people. You need to find out about them and how you can bless their lives. Find out if they are really a prospect. Not everyone is. Your network marketing business is NOT for everyone. Your product or service may not be for them.

Be a decision collector

and then get really skilled at helping people be comfortable with THEIR decision, yes or no.

Treat your network marketing business like a business

If you were your employer would you fire you? If so its time to change what you are doing. Remember you are not going to hide who you are and you attract people like yourself.

Work more on your insides than on your outsides.

What you think impacts the way you think how you feel and your results. If you are unwilling to grow personally you should never get in this business. This business does take skills to do just like everything else. To get results takes learning those skills.

Most people grossly overestimate what they can do in 1 year and severely underestimate what they can do in 5

If you caught that this could change your life and business.

Remember this business is not for everyone.

You have a great product or so I hope you do; you are working with a good company, but this might not be Uncle Bob’s deal. Don’t force it on him.

Build relationships first and your business second.

It takes someone who really cares about others to build any type of business that will last. This business but this marketing statgey no only needs it but shows if you do not have that skill set.

Be willing to step out side your comfort zone and do things you never did before.

Talk to lots of people. You ask who to talk to? I promise to tell you who I talk to at a later time. Now you have to remember I am different I don’t have a lot of time to be out as home-school mom. But there is a way to talk to lots of people and you don’t have to spend your whole day doing so.

Don’t do things that work, do things that duplicate.

In all network marketing companies you have a system, use it. You are not the system don’t try to be. If you don’t know what this means go here.

What does it takes to be successful? Millions of goals are set every single year. To create success, to accomplish a goal it takes a very specific mindset and follow through.

We try to accomplish things everyday. What is that you are trying to accomplish? Do you want to lose weight, start your own business, run a marathon, learn to sing, get a new job, go to college, get married? Maybe you want to do this or maybe its something else. You want to have success. But so did everyone else who tried to do this!

But my question for you, is

HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT??

Success does not just fall out of the sky and hit you on the head.

Its not like an apple that falls out of the sky, landing on your head when you are not looking for it to happen.

How bad do you want it?

It has to be personal.

What are you trying to accomplish. Does it touch your heart your emotions. Can you feel it? What does it feel like, smell like, look like? How did it change your life and the life of those who are around Can you live with out that result? How bad do you want it?n>

It has to be worth it.

Is it just a dream or really something that will change your life? How bad you want it?

It has to be specific.

If you don’t know where you are going, you will never know when you get there. Having a specific plan each and everyday is the only way to getting there. How bad do you want it?n>

It has to be doable.

Can you see your self taking the steps not just once but daily? Is it something that you can live with doing long term? Would anything you see be a stopper in the planned activity? Are you willing to do even if something tries to get in your way? How bad do you want it?

So what is the answer? How bad do you want it?

What are the laws of duplication?

What is duplication? I am pretty sure if you are reading this. I proably don’t have to explain it too you. Duplication one of the most over talked about issues in the home based business industry. How we get it? What it looks like? How it feels? Everyone is working on having duplication. Duplication feels mysterious like everything will change when we accomplish it .As if it is crazy wild thing that no one knows how to make it happen it just does all by its self. I agree that duplication is wild and crazy and will rock your world when it happens. But its not mysterious. But to create regular daily duplication you must have the skill,persistence,determination to start. But its something you can do. People just like you and me do it all the time.

Do you understand that power that the laws of duplication hold?

Duplication starts with a generous heart.

The laws of duplication starts with a heart that is not selfish. In the Bible its says in Galatians 6:7-8 “Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others-ignoring God! -harvests a crop of weeds. When you plant orange seeds oranges grow and come to harvest.

What are you planting today?
Do you care about the people around you?
Are you willing to give more than is required of you?
Is business simply another way to manipulate others around you?
Its all about relationships

I dare you to be different (1) out give those around you (2) care more for the needs of people than making money.

The laws of duplication require that we keep things simple and systematic .

Duplication will only take place when you make your steps easily followed. If you crazy off the wall stuff that no one else can or will do. Guess what? You are off on your own, no one will follow that. Make sure you pay attention to what you and what you don’t do!

Identify and develop leadership

Leadership is one of those fun and interesting areas. You never where you are going to find potential. Potential does not always mean it will be realized. It just means it can be. You can help people but often they feel pushed. Which from the outside looks much like a car being pushed instead being being driven. It really does not work that well. LOL

Never ask others of others what you are unwilling to do yourself.

Create a winning environment for everyone

Are you enjoying what you are doing? Maybe you should remind yourself and your team of that fact. Don’t be a drill sargent. Work dillegenly and create a team atmosphere where everyone is accepted for who they are no matter if they are your best business builder or not.

Sometimes its time to take time off and go play!

Remember the laws of duplication are simple. They are about the poeple who you work with no matter if they are a client, team member or family member. Helping them accomplish their dreams is what is most important. One of my favorite quote goes like this.

“People don’t care how much you know. until they know how much you care. “

Do you know who is your competition?

I posted this about “knowing your competition“sometime ago. It is as relevant today as it was then. In fact it is more important now than ever with the economy troubles that are not going away and who knows what the government will do next. Please enjoy and I truly would love to hear your opinion and how things are going for you today!

Most businesses and people are their own worst competition.

Competition is a part of life no matter what you do. We compete against people businesses machines and lots of other things too. But the competition I am speaking of here is very specific. When trying to get into a school create business get a job any thing where you have to make a difference in the people around you.

Are you in competition with yourself?

Here are some ideas on how to literately get out of your own way and allow your business to take off the way you desire it too.

1. Does your customer service set you apart from your competition?

Customer service is more than saying hello when a client enters your doors, or calls you on the phone. Customer service is a mindset that allows a business to be filled with friends and not just clients. It helps you be the place that people want to return to and not one they remember to forget. Customer service is the difference in always picking you first, not because of price, but because they know you will do them right no matter what. Do your clients feel this way? Are they running to your competition because they feel you are not?

Is your customer service leaving your clients with out hair?

2. Are you working in your business or on your business?

There can be confusion on what it takes to create the success in business Being busy is not always a sign of success. We can be busy doing things that will never create the business you want. Knowing the difference in being busy for busy sake or actually doing those very important actions that will change our results. Those actions can be an unknown or not understood. Working in your business vs. working on your business. What is it you are working on? What are the results? How will it change the health and growth of your business? If your competition was doing this how would you feel?

3. Do you know what risks your business has, and what way you can turn it into a reward?

Owning your own business can be fun and rewarding. On the other hand, every entrepreneur understands that their are risks they are taking. But changing the risks into rewards can be as simple as a change in the way you look at things and acting accordingly. Not looking at those risks realistically can cost you not only your business but it can create a complete financial breakdown. Most business owners don’t have the expertise to know what to look for in many areas from hiring to taxes. Do you? If you don’t protect your business proactive you might as well hand over your keys and clients over to your competition.

4. Why are you in business?

Mot people when they start a business no matter what it is,have a dream of helping others, providing a service and changing the world one client at a time. The money is simply a reward of doing that well. So do you remember why you got in business? Has the everyday pressure of making the bills go away changed your reason? Are you just working on making money and not caring about those people who you are serving?

5. Do you have a system that will get your business to where you want it to be ?

Most business owners got in business because they have a passion for something they love but have no idea what it takes to be successful. Having the system that will take you from ground zero to blast off seems hard to find. So, what should you do to find it? Would it be worth having that system and having the ability to know what to do each day and doing it?

Remember, doing the right thing the wrong way, still makes it wrong.

6. Are you using all the resources that you have to make your business more profitable?

Every single one of us has resources that are known and resources that are unknown. Using these resources correctly will change the results we have. Know what makes the most impact on your business and who else is on your team that can do things you don’t want to or don’t have the skills for. Make sure the investments you are making into your business are the right ones that will have a greater ROI. Don’t let the bank dictate what you can and can not do to grow your business.

7. Do you have a team of experts that you can learn from to help you grow your business?

You love being in business for yourself. But that does not mean you have to be in business by yourself? Would you like to have a team who has been down this road and knows the traps and what they can cost you? How would it change your business if had a team who would guide you down this road who has years of experience and wisdom? Knowing you don’t have to make the mistakes that others have before you. Doing the right things in the right ways and getting better results than you would have alone. Do you have that team put together?

8. When was the last time you enjoyed a day growing your business?

Are you working harder and harder and working for less and less? How would you like to get back to the point where you loved being in business and take the pressure off of where you are going to find your next client? You can love what you do and know what needs to be done as well. Do you?

So many times we don’t need other business to have competition, all we need is to do the wrong things and we shove our clients into the arms of others.

Did you set any New Years Resolutions?

As I am writing this, I am saying WOW to myself. Is it really that time again? Time to consider the New Years Resolutions we will set and potentially achieve. I can not believe its already 2012, can you? It feels like it was just yesterday, in the blazing heat of 2011!At least here in Texas it was. Fortunately that is gone and today is an amazing 70 out side!

But its New Years Day…. AGAIN!

What are your New Years Resolutions?

Will me make this one count? Will it be the New Years that we look back on and say. That is the one that I actually did something I said I was going to do???

Will my New Years Resolutions stick?

Do you have them written down?
Did you do a 2011 Old Years Evaluation?( hint hint important)

The problem with News Years Resolutions are that they don’t last! 60% of resolutions are given up on with in the first month, 90% are given up on with in the first 90 days, around 2% of resolutions are seen to the finish.

But that does not mean you can not be part of the the 2% that does persist. To me it seems a little silly to spend all the time creating another years new years resolutions unless your committed to doing what it takes to see them through to the end. But if that is the case, going in we have to change the way we think about what we are going to accomplish.

New ways of thinking about accomplishing my new years resolutions

What is time? Time is simply a gage in which we show the passing of our lives? The celebration should be held because goals accomplished and relationships renewed not due to time simply passing.
Is this the right goal for my life? Do I really want to do this? How will this effect my relationships with others around me and with my God? Pray!
Am I committed to doing this? Am I willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish this? Will I pick myself up and start up again when I mess up?
How will I hold myself accountable to my resolution? Is there a support group that I can put in place? Do I need to put more of the right people into my life?
What will feel like when I have….? Put a picture on your mirror or someplace you look at daily That reminds you of the feeling you will have when you did what your setting out to do! Look at it often!

So I challege you to set new years resolutions that will motivate you to be different.

I challenge to see your new years resolutions through.

I challenge to make 2012 the start of new era in your life, an era of successful thinking leading to successful actions and ultimately successful living.
